About Me
A career which began in the National Health Service provided a useful grounding for what I do now as a Clinical Hypnotherapist.
I have been working in the medical field now for 45 years. After 17 years working in pathology laboratories within the NHS, I ventured out into the private healthcare sector, taking on management roles in health-related companies. In 1985 I came to Harley Street to apply my expertise to the many hospitals, walk-in clinics, and laboratories in the area.
I soon became more involved with patient care, working closely with patients afflicted with ailments ranging from HIV to anxiety and depression. I soon discovered that patients referred to hypnotherapists experienced huge success, particularly those suffering from stress and anxiety. I underwent a few sessions myself and the transformation I experienced was so great I decided to share my knowledge with the world.
I studied at the Institute of Clinical Hypnosis, and obtained the Professional Diploma and the Advanced Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy. I have also trained as an Ultra Depth Practitioner, focusing on areas of special interest, including smoking cessation, weight management, cancer support, and relationships.
Professionally, I keep up-to- date by attending conferences and special interests groups. I am an active member of the British Institute for Integrated Medicine, and the Hypnotherapy Society where I helped develop the National Occupational Standards for Hypnotherapy. I am accredited by the General Hypnotherapy Register, and am registered with the NHS to provide services through your GP.
