Course content level 1
One day programme theory and practical exercises with individual based scenarios.
- Origins of EFT – how the technique was developed
- Underpinning theory of EFT and the links to other forms of therapy
- The discovery statement upon which EFT is based
- EFT; the basis for rapid healing
- Psychological reversal – perspectives of factors which inhibit healing How do disruptions of energy systems affect the individual
- The ‘basic recipe’: tapping points demonstrated. Experiential learning techniques are used allow the participants to develop the essential techniques of EFT
- Refining the technique to maximise the effectiveness of EFT
- Clear guidelines for situations where EFT is most effective and identification of possible limitations and contraindications
- Monitor the effectiveness of treatments and responding appropriately to various situations
- Develop expertise in other EFT techniques - including the ‘tearless trauma technique’, the ‘movie technique’, ‘chasing the pain’ and the ‘personal peace procedure’
- Analyse the reasons for cognitive shifts – identify possible verbal and physical signs which may occur
- For all techniques learnt there will be opportunities for practice and reflection on learning in dealing effectively with your own issues
- Evaluation and possible future developments for your learning about EFT
Course content level 2
Two day programme of theory and practical exercises with client based scenarios.
- Introduction to using EFT with clients
- ‘Gary Craig and The Principles from The Palace of Possibilities’ – How we see the complex interplay of other people and situations from the past and present form our present perceptions and shape our future life experiences
- ‘Affirmations’ with EFT explained and working through the theory for effectively utilizing these methods to counter the factors which result in obstacles in our lives
- Additional tapping points. Explore the benefits of additional meridian points over and above the ‘basic recipe’
- Advanced techniques - the ‘gentle’ techniques: the ‘tearless trauma’ technique, ‘chasing the pain’ and ‘sneaking up on the problem’
- Approaches to reveal the core issues - specific questions and techniques to discover root causes of physical and emotional problems
- Systems for testing results - assessing how effectively an issue has been erased and means for determining if there are residual issues for further treatment
- Using case histories look at practical issues for EFT
- Opening up sessions with reticent client
- Protocols for specific conditions such as weight loss, smoking cessation and phobias
- Telephone consultations with EFT
- Working in groups with EFT – specific advantages
Course content level 3
Two day programme of theory and practical exercises with issues from practice scenarios.
- Practitioner maintenance, how to avoid issues such as projection, transference, getting attached to client outcomes, how to protect yourself from burnout, etcetera
- Energy exercises to help balance the client’s energy systems
- Ways to develop rapport with the client and what to watch for when issues are coming up or changing for the client
- How to aid in the development of intuition, a skill that occurs naturally with most EFT therapists and can be learned by anyone
- New EFT approaches - as with any new technology advances are made as evolution naturally takes place. We will look many of the most recent patterns of EFT as developed by Gary Craig and others
- S L O W EFT as a way to find specific issues from complex problems
- We will look at Dr Patricia Carrington’s ‘choices method’ to instil new positive behaviours as negative energy patterns are released
- Useful NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) skills such as reframing, pre-framing, fostering cognitive shifts and eye accessing cues
- The three ways of using surrogate EFT
- An effective way to spot reversals in clients and ways to overcome them
- How to prevent abreactions and what to do when they do occur
- The exciting, versatile use of metaphors in EFT treatment and how to elicit them
- We’ll look at the major negative beliefs, discuss their effect on our lives and discover ways to overcome them
- EFT with timelines
- Dealing with the problem of conflict resolution – the stress caused between opposing dilemmas in a client’s life
- Working with the inner child
- An introduction to how EFT can be used for more serious physical and psychological issues
